About this deal

Elle Mcnicoll's story was great,as it was the first that gave me high hopes the rest of the collection really failed to live up to. This gorgeous wintery collection brings together thirteen bestselling, award-winning and exciting debut authors: Abiola Bello, Annabelle Sami, Benjamin Dean, E.

Dominique Valente takes us to a fantasy world trapped in winter and haunted by a grim beast in The Frostwilds. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. A powerful feminist reworking of the Hans Christian Andersen classic, from bestselling and award-winning creators Emma Carroll and Lauren Child. Will be passing on a copy to my class during the Christmas season as it is perfect for the festive time. Join them as part of the Very Merry Murder Club as they lead you on a snow-covered wintery journey of Christmassy crimes, festive foul play and murderously magnificent mysteries! If you’re a new user, or using a new username, it may take a little while for your comment to appear as I have to approve it. Gorgeous hardback book too, The Very Merry Murder Club would make a ideal present to treasure for any young mystery lover.

Robin Stevens is the award winning and bestselling author of the Murder Most Unladylike mystery series. Because while it had that wintery setting… it just didn’t fit at all with the tone or the mood of the book. This gorgeous Christmas hardback gift of a collection brings together thirteen of the bestselling, award-winning and exciting debut authors: Abiola Bello, Annabelle Sami, Benjamin Dean, E. Thereafter, we move from the inner city of Annabelle Sami’s ‘ Beast of Bedleywood‘, to a Costa-Rican sited murder mystery in Sharna Jackson’s ‘The Cov(en) at Christmas’.

The diversity rep was brilliant but the storytelling just fell flat for me in the majority of the stories. The murder itself is not gory or particularly brutal, and will therefore be well received by all but the most sensitive of readers. Full of fast-paced plots, delightfully evil villains and whip-smart protagonists, The Very Merry Murder Club will enthrall fans of mystery and those new to the genre.Hard to pick a favourite but I am fascinated by the historical London frost fairs so Joanna Williams’ Ice and Fire really caught my attention. I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books. For example, Frostine’s little sister dares to disbelieve the rules of ‘ The Frostwilds’, which leads to a life threatening confrontation.
