  • We’re the Faircloughs, and we’re addicted to taking photographs!

Hey! We are Katie and James, and we've been married since 2013. Our approach to wedding photography is relaxed, with no 'traditional' shots as in "you, stand there, smile!" That kind of wedding photography just makes everyone miserable (us included!) You certainly won't get the "oh, look at Auntie Nora having a good old belly laugh" or "Haha, bless Grandad snoozing in the chair" type of shots if you force people into an uncomfortable situation. We both work our asses off all day long; starting with the prep, we separate to spend the whole of the prep time with each of you. That way, nothing is missed. Another advantage of having a hubby and wife photography team is, for example, James will be at the front of the church photographing your hubby's last moments stood at the alter, waiting in anticipation for his wife-to-be, and Katie, stood outside the church entrance with you whilst you have a...moment, you have something in your eye! We bloody loved our wedding, all the emotion, laughter and (happy) tears that were involved and we decided we wanted to capture all of that and more for others.

We are based in Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire but love to travel throughout the UK. This year we're photographing weddings in Cambridge, Scotland, Stafford, the Ribble Valley, Northumberland, the Lake District and Shropshire just to name a few. Yes, we get about!
